Salle des professeurs, fin d'après midi
When the facts are coming stronger than the thoughts,I just seem to loose my balance.
Some French teachers seem to believe that they can't understand anything about maths. Some maths teachers try to tell them that what maths is all about is simplifying things. The language of maths is simpler than that of a poem, or a play... A straight line only exists on the black board, it doesn't exist in real life. Hum... I did believe, when I was a child, that maths was about poetry, that the visual effect of a parabolic figure was what mattered, in the end, but now, i kind of think that a circle never ends and that a point is just the blink of an eye.

Very profound. I'm always amazed that mathematics and music are basically the same, while music is perceived to be entirely 'of the heart' and maths entirely 'of the head'
yes... space and time,i guess. Soundwaves, regulated in a cetain manner, appeal to the cosmic part in us and take us to the ancient gods.
